With a breakthrough process, Swedish company Renewcell is closing the loop on fashion and making it circular – at scale. Urban Fungariums by Rachel Horton-Kitchlew

The Urban Fungarium encourages a positive perspective towards mushrooms. It facilitates the cultivation of beautiful, nutritious mushrooms in the domestic environment while also providing education and enjoyment around fungi and the huge wellbeing benefits of Biophilic design.
Rachel Horton-Kitchlew’s Biophilic nature-inspired works are created from waste, are compostable and non-harmful to the environment. Her work explores mycelium as an excellent alternative to manmade materials that leave toxic traces in our world.
Reinventing Linen by Flax London

Flax London is on a mission to change perceptions around linen, using different weights and weaves of the fabric to demonstrate its unknown versatility. At Fabrica X, Flax London is providing a behind-the-scenes look into how this inherently low-impact fabric is made.
Repurposed, Reused and Recycled

Fanfare Label is a leading name within the recycling movement. Their collections prolong the lifetime of clothing and give new life to used materials. The label combines bold and contemporary designs with repurposed and reused materials, offering a wardrobe of sustainable clothing that’s made to last.
In this exhibition, the designer presents ‘Repurposed, Reused and Recycled’, highlighting pieces from the collection to give visitors a sense of the making process and the opportunity to interact with the innovative materials firsthand.

Create Your Own Hand-Knitted Beanie From Upcycled Material by Joao Maraschin

Join Joao Maraschin and knit your own beanie from scratch with upcycled material. Get to work with an exciting repurposed cotton shirting and learn more about the background of Joao’s practice. Being a knitter is a bonus, but everyone is welcome. Participants are taught basic hand-knitting skills during the workshop and leave with a brand-new winter hat made from repurposed material.
Joao Marashin is a community-led brand focused on social design, collaborating with artisans around the world and carefully managing its environmental impact. The designer established his eponymous brand in February 2020 and showcases collections at London Fashion Week.
